Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe and Transfer to Hotel

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by Giant Holiday Safaris representative who will assist with your luggage and transfer you to your accommodation in Entebbe or Kampala, depending on your arrival time. You can spend the rest of the day at leisure, with an option to explore Entebbe’s attractions, such as the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (Entebbe Zoo) or take a stroll along the lake shore. Alternatively, enjoy a delicious dinner at your hotel and rest before starting your exciting journey the next day.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel, and you will begin your transfer to Kibale National Park. The drive takes approximately 5-6 hours and offers a fascinating view of Uganda’s countryside. You will pass through lush agricultural land, small villages, and rolling hills, with scenic views of the Rift Valley as you approach the park. Along the way, you may stop for refreshments or to enjoy a few scenic spots.

Upon arrival in Kibale, check into your lodge, which is typically nestled in the forest or near the park entrance. After a day of travel, you’ll have time to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings before your chimpanzee tracking adventure the following day.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale National Park

After breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on your chimpanzee trekking experience. Kibale National Park is home to one of the largest populations of wild chimpanzees in Africa, making it one of the top destinations for primate lovers. Your trek can take anywhere from 1 to 4 hours, depending on the chimpanzees’ location in the dense forest.

Once you find the chimpanzee group, you’ll have a magical hour to observe them in their natural habitat. These intelligent and social animals may be seen foraging for food, grooming each other, or interacting with their young. The forest itself is stunning, with towering trees, dense foliage, and vibrant birdlife adding to the experience. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about chimpanzee behavior and the importance of conservation efforts. After your trek, you will return to your lodge to relax and enjoy your evening or you can decide to have guided walk through the swamps of Bigodi.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After a relaxed breakfast, your journey continues as you transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, which takes about 3-4 hours. On the way, you will pass through beautiful landscapes, with the rift valley escarpment in the distance. The park itself, located in southwestern Uganda, is one of the most diverse protected areas in the country, offering both savannah and forest environments.

Upon arrival, check into your accommodation and take some time to unwind. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a sundowner overlooking the park, famous for its wildlife diversity, including elephants, buffaloes, and various species of birds.

Day 5: Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early breakfast, embark on a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The open savannah and forested areas make for an incredible safari experience, with your guide pointing out the diverse wildlife and explaining their behavior.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. Day 6: Transfer to Ishasha Sector for Tree Climbing Lions

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, you will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to one of the most iconic wildlife species in the world the mountain gorillas. The drive takes approximately 3-4 hours, and along the way, you’ll pass through scenic villages and rolling hills. The entrance to Bwindi is marked by dense, mist-covered forests, setting the stage for an incredible gorilla trekking experience.

Once you arrive at Bwindi, check into your lodge, which offers spectacular views of the forest. You will have the rest of the day to relax, unwind, and prepare for your gorilla trek the next day

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Forest

After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your gorilla trekking experience. Bwindi is home to several habituated gorilla families, and the trek may take anywhere from 1 to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas are located.

Once you locate the gorilla family, you’ll spend one hour observing them in their natural habitat. Watching these gentle giants interact with each other, play, and feed is an emotional and awe-inspiring experience. The silverback gorilla, the dominant male, is often the most impressive sight. After the trek, you may choose to have a short guided forest walk or Village walk to the Batwa community then return to your lodge for a restful evening.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After your breakfast, you’ll drive to Lake Mburo National Park, which is about a 4-5 hour drive from Bwindi. The park is known for its diverse ecosystems, including savannah, wetlands, and forests, and is home to species such as zebras, impalas, giraffes, and buffaloes. Upon arrival, you can opt to enjoy a boat trip on Lake Mburo or take a guided nature walking safari. After this activity you will retire to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Transfer Back to Entebbe via Equator

Your driver will pick you up for an early morning game drive at Lake Mburo, were you’ll have the chance to spot more wildlife in the park’s varied landscapes. In the late morning, you will then continue the journey back to Entebbe, have stopover at the Uganda Equator line in Kayabwe for lunch, while here, you will have another chance to take some photos and enjoy the unique experience of standing in two hemispheres at once.
