14-Days Uganda Gorilla Chimpanzees and Wildlife Safari

This 14-Days Uganda Gorilla Chimpanzees and Wildlife Safari in Uganda to Murchison Falls national park where you expect a boat trip to the base of the falls and game drive. Head to kibale for chimpanzee tracking and also explore the crater lakes. From Kibale, transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. Boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. Day 1 Arrival at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to your booked accommodation

Upon arrival at Entebbe, you will be met by Giant Holiday Safaris Driver-Guide who will welcome you to Uganda – the Pearl of Africa. Thereafter, you will be transferred to your accommodation for rest, dinner and overnight.

Day 2 Transfer to Murchison falls with stopover for rhino tracking

Begin your day with an early breakfast and then embark on a morning game drive throughout the park’s vast grasslands. During this drive you will see lions along with giraffes, buffaloes, elephants and other different bird varieties. You will go back to the lodge for lunch and have some relaxation time. In the afternoon you will take a Nile boat tour where you will see aquatic animals such as hippos and crocodiles along with assorted bird species. You will experience breathtaking views during a scenic hike that takes you to the top of the falls. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 Game drive and boat cruise at in Murchison falls

Start your day with an early breakfast then join an early morning game drive across the Park’s rolling plains to observe lions, giraffes, buffalo, elephants and different bird species. After come for lunch and relaxation. Following lunch you’ll take a boat cruise on Albert Nile to see water loving animals and birds such as Crocodiles and hippos then move on to hike to the top of the falls. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4 Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Following breakfast start your drive towards Kibale Forest National Park known for chimpazees and monkeys swinging on trees which includes colobus monkeys and red tailed monkeys then proceed to Turaco Treetops Lodge house for check-in, dinner and stay overnight.

Day 5 Chimpazee trekking and bigodi swamp

Following breakfast you will receive a briefing at the chimpanzee information point then proceed with a senior ranger guide to trek through the forest where you can observe chimpanzees along with other primates. You will spend an hour with the chimpanzees before returning to your accommodations for relaxation and lunch.

During the afternoon you will take a walk beside Bigodi swamp. The Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary stands as a captivating destination located within the Magombe swamp known for its rich biodiversity and serves as an ideal habitat for various bird species. After your activities return to your lodge for dinner followed by overnight accommodation.

Day 6 Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Start your day with an early morning breakfast before departing Kibale Forest National Park towards Queen Elizabeth National Park which lies at the foot of the majestic Rwenzori Mountains between Lake Edward and Lake George. The diverse ecosystem of the park which contains extensive Savannah regions supports classic big game and hosts ten primate species with chimpanzees plus over 600 bird species.

Your arrival will provide ample time for relaxation and lunch before heading out for an afternoon boat safari along Kazinga channel to observe water-loving animals including water buffaloes and elephants as well as hippos and crocodiles and bird species like fish eagles on the shores. You will return for dinner followed by overnight stay at the accommodation.

Day 7 Morning game drive and explosion crater

Start your day with breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains where you can spot Tree climbing Lions, Elephants Bush bucks, cape buffaloes, warthogs and more. You will have Lunch and some relaxation at your lodge before going for the afternoon explosion crater drive. This drive offers stunning views of breathtaking scenery around Queen with opportunities to spot Buffaloes among other animals before returning for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8 Transfer to Lake Katwe and evening game drive

Start your day with coffee and relaxation before moving on to Lake Katwe for a salt mining tour. During your visit you will be able to meet up with the Local people who live here and have the opportunity to purchase souvenirs as a way to support them. You will then return to your lodge for lunch followed by relaxation before taking an evening game drive to look for wild animals including elusive Leopards and Lions. Your lodge will be your destination for dinner followed by an overnight stay.

Day 9 Transfer to Ishasha sector for tree climbing lions

Start your morning with breakfast followed by a game viewing adventure in Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Ishasha region where tree-climbing lions live. The sight will be spectacular! The experience will extend beyond tree-climbing lions to include sightings of Uganda kobs, Cape buffaloes, elephants and warthogs. Later proceed to your accommodation where you can relax, have dinner and spend the night.

Day 10 Game drive in Ishasha sector for tree-climbing lions and transfer to bwindi impenetrable national park

After breakfast, you will go for additional tree-climbing lion sightings before moving on to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park serves as the leading mountain gorilla habitat in Uganda that supports about 400 gorillas which represents nearly 50% of their global population and hosts multiple habituated groups available for tracking. You will check-in to your accommodation and rest after a strenuous day so you can prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience tomorrow.

Day 11 Gorilla trekking and Batwa cultural walk

Following breakfast in the early morning you will proceed to the Gorilla information center to receive briefing before entering the gorilla sanctuary to start your adventure. This rain forest presents an incredible display of natural beauty! The region features dramatic steep forests which are extremely dense yet accessible to tourists through multiple animal trails. How long it takes to complete the journey and the terrain encountered depend on where these great primates move. After you find a gorilla group tourists are permitted one hour of observation time. Witnessing these gentle and endangered giants provides an amazing and thrilling experience that people will want to cherish for a long time.You will return to your lodge for lunch and have some rest then in the afternoon go for Batwa cultural walk experience and meet local people then come back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 12 Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation

After an early breakfast, you will head toward Lake Bunyonyi where you will relax while enjoying breathtaking views of the lake’s little islands. The 29 islands with their distinctive forms found at Lake Bunyonyi create its magical atmosphere while lush terraced hills surround it. After lunch, you will explore Lake Bunyonyi in a canoe to observe numerous bird species followed by dinner and an overnight stay at Arcadia Lodge Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 13 Transfer to Lake Mburo National park

Start your day with breakfast then drive to Lake Mburo national park. You will have a stopover in Mbarara town for Lunch and continue the journey through the intensely terraced Kigezi hill slopes. Get to the park in the afternoon to rest before heading out for the late afternoon game viewing in the evening.

The game drive will allow you to observe gigantic eland antelopes along with large herds of zebras as well as topis, impalas, warthogs, Uganda kobs and Cape buffaloes and more. Afterwards spend time relaxing at your accommodation followed by dinner and then stay overnight.

Day 14 Depart Lake Mburo and transfer to Entebbe International Airport

After your early breakfast you will join the ranger-led park/nature walk at Mburo. You will likely see hyenas coming back to their dens after spending the night hunting. Also, you will have the opportunity to encounter (at close range) zebras and giraffes as well as elands and topi with additional antelopes while cape buffaloes will also be seen among other wildlife. Ascend the hill trail to reach the top where you can view Lake Mburo and its surrounding areas. The vantage point provides a magnificent view of nine out of the twelve lakes around Lake Mburo NP before you return to your lodge to check out and start the journey back to Entebbe. You will have a lunch stopover in Masaka Town and a photo session at the Uganda equator line in kayabwe before getting to Entebbe international Airport thus the end of the 14-Days Uganda Gorilla Chimpanzees and Wildlife Safari in Uganda.
