Day 1: Arrival at the Airport and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Your journey begins in Entebbe, where you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to Murchison Falls National Park. The drive takes you through the picturesque Luwero Triangle and the bustling Masindi town, offering glimpses of rural Uganda. Along the way, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for white rhino tracking experience. Accompanied by a knowledgeable ranger, you will enjoy a one-hour trek to observe these magnificent creatures up close.

Have a delightful lunch at Kabalega Dinners and continue the journey to Murchison Falls National Park. Check in at Pakuba Safari Lodge, your comfortable mid-range accommodation for the night. Relax and prepare for the exciting adventures that lie ahead.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Trip on Victoria Nile

Begin your day with an early breakfast before setting out on a captivating morning game drive. Explore the park’s diverse habitats and search for iconic wildlife such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and a variety of antelopes. Bird enthusiasts will delight in spotting species like the shoebill stork, saddle-billed stork, goliath heron, and the Abyssinian ground hornbill.

Return to your lodge for a hearty lunch before embarking on a boat cruise along the Victoria Nile. This leisurely trip takes you to the base of the Murchison Falls, offering excellent opportunities to observe hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, and Uganda kobs. Keep an eye out for elephants playing in the water.

For a spectacular view, take a 30-minute hike to the top of Murchison Falls. The panoramic vista from this viewpoint is perfect for close-up photography of the roaring falls and surrounding landscapes. Return to Pakuba Safari Lodge for a relaxing evening and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Kibale National Park, renowned for its rich primate population. This journey takes you through lush landscapes and charming villages. Arrive at Chimpanzee Forest Lodge, where you will check in and unwind before the next day’s adventure.

Kibale Forest is home to a variety of primates, including chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and the olive baboon. The park’s diverse bird species and vibrant flora make it a paradise for nature enthusiasts.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After enjoying your breakfast, proceed to the park office for a briefing about the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking experience. Kibale Forest offers an exceptional opportunity to observe chimpanzees in their natural habitat, alongside other primate species. As you trek through the forest, your guide will share insights on medicinal plants, bird calls, and animal tracks.

You will have an opportunity to spend an hour with the chimpanzees, then return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in the evening. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at Twin Lakes Safari Lodge.

Day 5: Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Start your day with an early morning game drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park. This park is renowned for its diverse wildlife, including members of the Big Five namely: lions, elephants, buffaloes, and leopards. Other notable species include giant forest hogs and various antelopes.

Return to the lodge for lunch before heading out for an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This cruise offers close-up views of elephants, buffaloes, and large pods of hippos, as well as opportunities to spot crocodiles and monitor lizards. The channel is also a haven for waterbirds such as yellow-billed storks, pelicans, and fish eagles. After the cruise, return to Twin Lakes Safari Lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Enjoy breakfast before departing for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Your route takes you through the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions. This area also has significant populations of hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes. You will have lunch in Ishasha and continue your journey to Bwindi.

Upon arrival, check in at Gorilla Mist Camp and prepare for the exciting activities awaiting you in the coming days. Dinner and overnight stay will be at this mid-range lodge.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, head to the park offices for a briefing on gorilla the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking adventure. The trek through Bwindi’s dense rainforest and bamboo slopes will bring you face-to-face with the endangered mountain gorillas. This exciting experience typically lasts 3-6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements.

After the trek you will return to the lodge for lunch. Then later transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Check in at Bunyonyi Safaris Resort and enjoy a relaxing evening with stunning lake views. Optional canoe rides are available to explore the lake’s scattered islands.
