How to reach Clouds Mountain gorilla lodge

By Air, Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge is accessible through domestic flights from Entebbe International Airport into Kisoro airstrip. From Kisoro, guests can arrange for a private transfer to the lodge.

You can also reach the lodge from Kigali, Rwanda which is approximately a 4 to 5 hours drive. From here, cross through Katuna or Cyanika boarders from Kigali into Uganda and thereafter proceed to the lodge. This takes around 1-2 hours from boarder points.

By Road, Mountain Gorilla Lodge is accessible by drives from Kampala and Entebbe for visitors that like a memorable and immersive experience. The road trip offers visitors an opportunity to see the diverse landscapes and local communities along the way with stopovers and it takes about 8 to 9 hours to reach the lodge.

Gorilla Trekking

The lodge is a 10 minutes’ walk to the park headquarters where the trek starts from every morning. Visitors are advised to book their gorilla trekking permits for Nkuringo sector in advance since they are on high demand.
