Chimpanzee trekking experience in Uganda and Rwanda

Chimpanzee trekking in Uganda and Rwanda usually begins early in the morning at the park headquarters guided by experienced rangers who lead you through the dense forest trails. As you approach the chimpanzees, you will hear their loud hoots and calls echoing through the trees. This is a thrilling sound that signals you are getting closer. Once you spot chimpanzees, you will have an hour to watch their fascinating behavior from grooming each other to swinging effortlessly between branches. During this period, you are allowed to take pictures with them from a respectful distance. You should use little or no flash light so that you do not scare them. After one hour, the guides lead you back to the park headquarters where you are given chimpanzee trekking certificates for participation.
