Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Visit to Ngamba Island

You will arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where our professional driver-guide will warmly welcome you. After a short briefing, you will transfer to your hotel in Entebbe to freshen up and relax after your flight. Later in the day, you will head to the pier for a scenic boat ride across Lake Victoria to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary.

The boat ride takes about 45 minutes and offers beautiful views of Africa’s largest lake. At the sanctuary, you will observe rescued chimpanzees during feeding time from a raised platform. You will see how they interact, groom each other, and communicate. A guide will explain how the sanctuary rescues and rehabilitates orphaned chimpanzees. After this meaningful visit, you will return to Entebbe for dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 2: Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest: 19 Days Uganda Kenya and Tanzania Safari

After an early breakfast, you will begin your 19 Days Uganda Kenya and Tanzania Safari to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in southwestern Uganda. This full-day drive allows you to see the countryside and daily life in rural Uganda. You will pass rolling hills, banana plantations, Ankole cattle farms, and vibrant roadside markets.

You will stop at the Uganda Equator for photos and a simple water experiment that shows how water flows differently in each hemisphere. After lunch in Mbarara town, you will continue through winding mountain roads with breathtaking views. The landscape changes as you approach Bwindi, with misty hills and dense rainforest covering the slopes.

You will arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon. Enjoy the cool forest air, listen to birds and insects, and relax before dinner. Tomorrow brings your first gorilla trekking adventure.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

You will then enter the forest with guides and trackers who help locate your assigned gorilla family. The trek may take between two and eight hours depending on where the gorillas are moving. The terrain can be steep and muddy, but the forest is beautiful and full of life.

When you finally meet the gorillas, you will spend one magical hour observing them. You may see babies playing, mothers feeding, and the powerful silverback watching over the group. The experience feels peaceful and deeply moving. After the trek, you will return to the lodge for rest, dinner, and reflection.

Day 4: Second Gorilla Trek – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, you will return to the forest for a second gorilla trek. This allows you to visit a different gorilla family and explore a new section of the park. Each family has its own behavior and group dynamics, so the experience feels fresh and exciting.

After lunch at the lodge, you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi. The lake sits between green hills and has 29 small islands scattered across its calm waters. The scenery is peaceful and perfect for relaxation after two days of trekking.

You can take a canoe ride, swim safely in the lake, or simply relax at your lodge. The cool mountain air and quiet surroundings make this evening calm and refreshing. Dinner and overnight by the lakeshore.

Day 5: Lake Bunyonyi to Queen Elizabeth National Park: 19 Days Uganda Kenya and Tanzania Safari

After breakfast, you will depart Lake Bunyonyi and drive north toward Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey passes through rolling hills, tea plantations, and rural villages. You will arrive at your lodge in time for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This natural waterway connects Lake Edward and Lake George and attracts large numbers of animals. You will see hippos in the water, crocodiles resting along the banks, and elephants coming down to drink.

Bird lovers will enjoy spotting fish eagles, pelicans, and kingfishers. The cruise offers close wildlife viewing and excellent photo opportunities. After sunset, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Trekking and Afternoon Game Drive

After lunch at the lodge, you will head out for an afternoon game drive across the savannah plains. Look for elephants, buffalo, antelopes, and possibly lions. The wide open landscapes and crater lakes create stunning scenery. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and rest.

Day 7: Return to Entebbe

After breakfast, you will begin your scenic drive back to Entebbe. Along the way, you will enjoy views of the Rwenzori Mountains, also known as the Mountains of the Moon. The road passes tea estates, crater lakes, and small towns.

You will stop in Fort Portal for lunch before continuing your journey. As you travel, you will see daily life in Uganda, including roadside markets and farming communities.

You will reach Entebbe in the evening and check into your hotel. Enjoy dinner and relax as you prepare for your flight to Kenya the following day.

Day 8: Entebbe to Nairobi: 19 Days Uganda Kenya and Tanzania Safari

After breakfast, you will transfer to the airport for your flight to Nairobi to continue with your 19 Days Uganda Kenya and Tanzania Safari. On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, our Kenya team will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. The drive through Nairobi gives you a first look at Kenya’s busy capital, with its mix of modern buildings, green suburbs, and lively streets.

After check-in, the rest of the day is free for relaxation. You may enjoy the hotel garden, take a short walk, or rest by the pool after the travel day. This break helps you recover before the safari continues. In the evening, you will have dinner at the hotel and receive a short briefing about the next day’s journey to the Masai Mara. Overnight stay in Nairobi.

Day 9: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

After an early breakfast, you will drive toward Masai Mara National Reserve. The journey takes you through the Great Rift Valley, where you will stop at a viewpoint for photos of the wide escarpment and valley floor. You will continue past small towns, farms, and Maasai herders with their cattle.

You will arrive at your camp in time for lunch. After some rest, you will go for your first afternoon game drive. The Masai Mara is famous for its rich wildlife and open plains. You may see lions resting in the grass, elephants walking in groups, giraffes feeding on acacia trees, and zebras grazing.

As the sun sets, you will return to camp for dinner. Enjoy the sounds of the African night and relax by the campfire under the stars.

Day 10: Full Day Game Drives in Masai Mara

Today on your 19 Days Uganda Kenya and Tanzania Safari, you will spend the whole day exploring the Masai Mara. After breakfast, you will leave with a packed lunch to allow more time in the reserve. The early morning hours are best for spotting predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards.

You will drive across the plains and along the Mara River, where crocodiles and hippos live. If you travel during the migration season, you may see large herds of wildebeest and zebras crossing the river. This is one of the greatest wildlife events in the world.

Day 12: Lake Nakuru to Nairobi

Today on your 19 Days Uganda Kenya and Tanzania Safari, you will begin the day with a morning game drive to search for animals that are most active early in the day. This is another chance to see rhinos, giraffes, and possibly a leopard resting in a tree. The fresh morning light is also perfect for photography.

After breakfast at the lodge, you will start the drive back to Nairobi. The road passes through the Great Rift Valley again, offering scenic views and small trading centers. You will arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon and check into your hotel.

The rest of the day is free for relaxation. You may shop for souvenirs, enjoy the hotel facilities, or simply rest. Dinner and overnight in Nairobi.

Day 13: Nairobi to Arusha

After breakfast, you will depart Nairobi by shuttle bus and travel toward the Namanga border to continue with your 19 Days Uganda Kenya and Tanzania Safari. The drive passes open plains where you may see Maasai herders and their cattle. On clear days, you can see Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.

At the border, you will complete immigration formalities before entering Tanzania. After crossing, you will continue to Arusha, which is the main safari town in northern Tanzania. The town sits at the foot of Mount Meru and has a cool climate.

On arrival, you will transfer to your hotel for relaxation. The rest of the day is free to prepare for the next safari stage. Dinner and overnight in Arusha.

Day 14: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park: 19 Days Uganda Kenya and Tanzania Safari

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park. The journey follows the Great Rift Valley and offers beautiful views of the escarpment.

On arrival, you will begin a game drive through the park’s groundwater forest and open plains. Lake Manyara is known for its elephants, hippos, giraffes, and large troops of baboons. With some luck, you may see the famous tree-climbing lions resting on branches.

The lake attracts many birds, including flamingos and pelicans. The park is small but very scenic and rich in wildlife. In the evening, you will drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 15: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will drive through the Ngorongoro highlands toward Serengeti National Park. The journey is long but very scenic. You will pass Maasai villages, green hills, and open plains.

As you enter the Serengeti, wildlife viewing begins immediately. You may see zebras, gazelles, giraffes, and elephants along the road. You will enjoy a game drive on the way to your tented camp.

The Serengeti is famous for its endless plains and large number of predators. After dinner at the camp, you will relax while listening to the sounds of the wild.

Day 16: Full Day Game Drives in Serengeti

Today on your 19 Days Uganda Kenya and Tanzania Safari, you will spend the entire day exploring the Serengeti. Morning and afternoon game drives give you the best chance to see animals. You may see lions resting after a hunt, cheetahs scanning the plains, and elephants moving in family groups.

If you travel during migration season, you will witness large herds of wildebeest and zebras moving across the plains in search of fresh grass. This natural movement attracts predators and creates dramatic wildlife scenes.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and continue with game viewing in the afternoon. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 17: Second Full Day in Serengeti : 19 Days Uganda Kenya and Tanzania Safari

Another full day in the Serengeti allows you to explore different areas of the park. Each region has unique landscapes and wildlife. You may visit river areas where hippos and crocodiles live or open plains where large herds graze.

This extra day increases your chances of seeing the Big Five and observing natural animal behavior. The sunrise and sunset in the Serengeti are also very beautiful and perfect for photography.

After a full day of game drives, you will return to camp for dinner and relaxation.

Day 18: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, you will enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti. This is your last chance to see its wildlife and take photos. Later, you will drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

The journey passes through changing landscapes, from open plains to highland forests. You may see Maasai herders grazing cattle along the way.

You will arrive at your lodge near the crater rim in the evening. The cool air and high altitude create a fresh atmosphere. Dinner and overnight with views of the crater.

Day 19: Ngorongoro Crater – Return to Arusha

After an early breakfast, you will descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. The crater is a natural wildlife haven with a high concentration of animals.

You may see black rhinos, lions, elephants, hyenas, zebras, and flamingos around the lake. The landscape includes grasslands, swamps, and forests, all inside the crater walls.

After a picnic lunch, you will ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha. This marks the end of your East Africa safari. You will transfer to the airport for your onward flight or stay overnight in Arusha depending on your schedule.
