Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport for your 10 Days Best of Uganda Safari and Transfer to Your Hotel
Welcome to Uganda, the Pearl of Africa! Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide from Giant Holiday Safaris. After a brief introduction to your safari, your guide will assist you with your luggage before transferring you to your hotel in Entebbe. The drive is short and gives you your first glimpse of Uganda’s beautiful scenery and friendly people. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at your hotel, enjoy the peaceful gardens, or take in views of nearby Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest freshwater lake.

Day 2: Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Murchison Falls National Park
After an early breakfast, begin your journey north towards Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest national park. Your first stop is Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where wild rhinos live in their natural habitat. Here, you will join an experienced ranger for an exciting guided rhino tracking experience on foot.
Walking quietly through the bush while searching for these magnificent animals is one of the most memorable wildlife encounters in Uganda. After spending time observing the rhinos, continue your drive through beautiful countryside filled with villages, farms, and rolling landscapes.
After lunch, proceed to Murchison Falls National Park and visit the top of the spectacular Murchison Falls. Watch as the mighty Nile River forces its way through a narrow gorge before crashing over the rocks with incredible power. The sound and mist from the falls create an unforgettable experience before you continue to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise on the Nile River
Wake up early for your first traditional African game drive across the northern sector of Murchison Falls National Park. Early morning offers the best chance to spot wildlife while temperatures are still cool. As you explore the open savannah, your guide will help you search for lions, elephants, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, hartebeests, waterbucks, and many other animals.
If luck is on your side, you may even spot a leopard hiding in the trees. After the game drive, return to your lodge for lunch and some relaxation before heading out for an unforgettable afternoon boat cruise along the Victoria Nile.
The river attracts countless animals that come to drink and cool off along the banks. You will enjoy excellent views of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and many bird species before reaching the base of the powerful Murchison Falls, where the Nile River creates one of Uganda’s most spectacular natural sights.

Day 4 of 10 Days Best of Uganda Safari: Transfer to Kibale National Park and Bigodi Wetland Nature Walk
After breakfast, leave Murchison Falls National Park and travel southwest towards Kibale National Park, one of Africa’s best destinations for primate viewing. The scenic drive takes you through beautiful countryside filled with tea plantations, traditional villages, rolling hills, and fertile farmland.
Along the way, your guide will share interesting information about Uganda’s culture, history, and daily life. After arriving at your lodge and enjoying lunch, visit the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided nature walk.
This community-managed wetland is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including several monkey species, colorful butterflies, reptiles, and hundreds of bird species. The peaceful walk also provides an opportunity to learn about local conservation projects and how tourism supports surrounding communities. After the walk, return to your lodge where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Kibale Forest.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early breakfast, report to the Kibale National Park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your chimpanzee trekking adventure. Accompanied by experienced park rangers, you will walk through the tropical rainforest while listening for the calls of wild chimpanzees.
Kibale Forest is home to one of Africa’s largest populations of chimpanzees, making it one of the best places to observe these intelligent primates in their natural environment. Once your group locates the chimpanzees, you will spend one unforgettable hour watching them feed, groom each other, care for their young, and move through the forest canopy.
After this incredible wildlife experience, enjoy lunch before driving to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey offers beautiful views of the Rwenzori Mountains, crater lakes, and lush countryside. Upon arrival, check into your lodge, relax, and prepare for another exciting day of wildlife viewing.

Day 6: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel
Start your day with an early breakfast before setting out for a morning game drive across the Kasenyi Plains in Queen Elizabeth National Park. This area is one of the best places in Uganda to spot wildlife because many animals gather on the open grasslands in the early morning.
As you explore the park, your guide will help you search for lions, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, warthogs, and hyenas. If you are lucky, you may also spot a leopard resting in a tree or moving through the tall grass.
Return to the lodge for lunch before heading out for an afternoon boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel. This natural waterway connects Lake George and Lake Edward and attracts large numbers of animals. During the cruise, you will enjoy excellent views of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and many water birds, making this one of the best wildlife experiences in Uganda.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha Sector
After breakfast, leave Queen Elizabeth National Park and travel south through the famous Ishasha Sector, an area known for its rare tree-climbing lions. These unique lions often spend hours resting on large fig trees during the day.
Your guide will take you on a game drive through the sector as you search for these special predators while also looking out for elephants, buffaloes, topis, and other wildlife.
After this exciting experience, continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that protects nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. The drive passes through beautiful rolling hills, forests, and rural communities, offering wonderful views of southwestern Uganda.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Today is the highlight of your Uganda safari. After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers before entering the dense rainforest.
The trek may take between two and six hours depending on the location of your assigned gorilla family. Along the way, your guide will explain the forest ecosystem and point out different plants, birds, and signs of wildlife.
Once you find the gorillas, you will spend one magical hour observing these gentle giants as they feed, move through the forest, and interact with each other. Watching mountain gorillas in their natural habitat is one of Africa’s greatest wildlife experiences.
After the trek, leave Bwindi Forest and drive to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi. Enjoy a peaceful canoe ride across the lake while admiring its many islands and surrounding hills before relaxing at your lakeside lodge.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, Boat Ride and Night Game Drive
After breakfast, leave Lake Bunyonyi and travel to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah national park. Although smaller than other parks, Lake Mburo offers excellent wildlife viewing and a unique safari experience.
After checking into your lodge and enjoying lunch, head out for a relaxing boat ride on Lake Mburo. The lake is home to hippos, crocodiles, and many bird species that live along the shoreline.
In the evening, enjoy an exciting night game drive with an experienced ranger. This special activity allows you to discover animals that are active after dark, including bush babies, porcupines, genets, hyenas, and possibly leopards.
Return to your lodge after this memorable experience and enjoy your final night inside a Ugandan national park surrounded by the sounds of nature.

Day 10: Morning Walking Safari and Transfer to Entebbe via the Equator
Enjoy an early breakfast before setting out on a guided walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park. Walking through the park allows you to experience nature from a different perspective while observing wildlife at close range.
Your ranger guide will explain animal behavior, identify tracks, and share information about the plants and ecosystems of the park. You may encounter zebras, giraffes, impalas, elands, topis, buffaloes, and many bird species.
After the walking safari, begin your journey back to Entebbe. Along the way, stop at the Uganda Equator for photographs and the famous water demonstration showing the difference between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
You will also have time to visit local craft shops and purchase souvenirs before continuing to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
