Day 1: Arrival in Uganda, Transfer to Kibale National Park and Bigodi Nature Walk

Your 5 Days Uganda Safari Tour begins with a warm welcome from our professional safari guide at your agreed pickup location in Entebbe or Kampala. After a short briefing about your adventure, you will start your scenic journey westwards to Kibale National Park, one of Uganda’s most famous destinations for primate experiences. The drive takes you through beautiful countryside landscapes, local villages, tea plantations, and rolling green hills.

Upon arrival in the afternoon, you will enjoy the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary walk, a community-based nature experience located near Kibale Forest. During the walk, you will explore a rich ecosystem filled with birds, butterflies, monkeys, and different plant species. The trail also offers opportunities to meet local communities and learn about their traditional way of life.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – 5 Days Uganda Safari Tour

After an early breakfast, you will head to the Kibale National Park headquarters for a briefing from the park guides before beginning your chimpanzee trekking adventure. Kibale Forest is known as the “Primate Capital of the World” because it hosts one of the highest concentrations of primates in Africa, including over 1,500 chimpanzees.

During the trek, you will walk through the beautiful tropical rainforest while searching for chimpanzee communities. Once you locate them, you will spend valuable time observing their behaviors, movements, and interactions. You may also encounter other primates such as red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys. The forest is also home to many bird species and colorful butterflies.

After the chimpanzee experience, you will have lunch before transferring to Queen Elizabeth National Park. After breakfast, you will leave Queen Elizabeth National Park and continue your journey toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. The route takes you through the famous Ishasha sector, located in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Ishasha is well known for its unique population of tree-climbing lions. During your game drive through this beautiful wilderness area, you will search for these rare lions resting on large fig trees. You may also spot other wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, warthogs, and different bird species.

After exploring Ishasha, you will continue toward Bwindi through scenic landscapes filled with hills, forests, and local communities. The journey provides excellent opportunities to enjoy Uganda’s natural beauty and experience the changing scenery of southwestern Uganda.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi – 5 Days Uganda Safari Tour

Today is the highlight of your Uganda safari as you experience mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After an early breakfast, you will travel to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority guides. Rangers will explain gorilla trekking guidelines and provide information about the gorilla family you will visit.

The trek begins through the ancient rainforest, where you will hike through beautiful vegetation while searching for a habituated gorilla family. The trek duration depends on the location of the gorillas and can take several hours. Once you find them, you will spend one magical hour observing their behaviors, taking photos, and enjoying this rare wildlife encounter.

After the trek, you will have lunch and continue to Lake Bunyonyi, one of Uganda’s most beautiful lakes. The lake is surrounded by terraced hills and small islands, creating a peaceful environment perfect for relaxation. In the evening, enjoy a canoe ride on the lake while admiring the stunning scenery.
