Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park and Bigodi Wetland Walk – 7 Days Uganda Safari Tour
Your 7 Days Uganda Safari Tour begins with an early morning pick-up from Entebbe or Kampala by your professional safari guide. After a short briefing, you will begin the scenic drive to Kibale National Park in western Uganda. The journey takes you through beautiful countryside filled with rolling hills, tea plantations, traditional villages, and local markets. Along the way, you will enjoy several stopovers for photography, refreshments, and lunch.
You will arrive at your lodge in the afternoon before heading to the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided nature walk. Bigodi is famous for its rich biodiversity and offers an excellent introduction to Uganda’s wildlife. During the walk, you may spot several monkey species including black-and-white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, vervet monkeys, and baboons. The wetland is also one of Uganda’s finest birding destinations with over 200 bird species, making it perfect for bird lovers. Local guides also share information about medicinal plants and the surrounding community.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early breakfast, you will report to the Kibale National Park visitor center for a briefing before beginning one of Uganda’s most exciting wildlife experiences—chimpanzee trekking. Kibale National Park protects the largest population of chimpanzees in Uganda, with over 1,500 individuals living in the forest. Guided by experienced Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers, you will walk through the tropical rainforest while searching for these intelligent primates.
Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing their daily activities. Watch them feed, groom one another, communicate using different calls, and swing effortlessly through the forest canopy. Besides chimpanzees, you may also encounter other primates, colorful birds, butterflies, and forest mammals.
After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch before driving south to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive offers beautiful views of the Rwenzori Mountains, crater lakes, and rural communities. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and relax while enjoying views of the surrounding wilderness.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise
Today starts with an early morning game drive across the Kasenyi Plains, one of the best wildlife viewing areas in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Early mornings offer the highest chances of seeing predators before they retreat from the heat. During the drive, watch for lions, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, warthogs, hyenas, giant forest hogs, and many other wildlife species. Bird enthusiasts will also enjoy seeing numerous birds along the open savannah.
Return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation before heading to the Kazinga Channel for an afternoon boat cruise. This natural waterway connects Lake Edward and Lake George and supports one of Africa’s highest concentrations of wildlife. As the boat slowly moves along the channel, you will enjoy excellent views of hippos, large Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and many animals gathering along the shoreline to drink. The cruise also offers outstanding bird watching with African fish eagles, kingfishers, pelicans, herons, and many more species.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha Sector
After breakfast, depart Queen Elizabeth National Park and travel through the famous Ishasha Sector, one of the few places in Africa where lions regularly climb large fig trees. Your guide will conduct a game drive through the area in search of these unique tree-climbing lions. Although sightings cannot be guaranteed, the experience is exciting and the area also supports elephants, buffaloes, topis, Uganda kobs, and many bird species.
Continue your journey toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for protecting nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Day 5: Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi – 7 Days Uganda Safari Tour
After an early breakfast, head to the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters for a detailed briefing about gorilla trekking rules and safety guidelines. You will then enter Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with experienced ranger guides in search of one of the park’s habituated gorilla families. The trek may last between two and six hours depending on the gorillas’ location.
Walking through the ancient rainforest is an adventure itself. Along the trails, you may see forest birds, colorful butterflies, monkeys, and unique plant species. When you finally meet the mountain gorillas, you will spend one magical hour observing them as they feed, play, groom, and care for their young. It is home to animals rarely seen in other Ugandan parks, including zebras, impalas, elands, topis, giraffes, buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs, and many bird species. The evening hours provide excellent wildlife viewing opportunities as animals become active before sunset.

Day 7: Morning Walking Safari and Return to Entebbe
