Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport and Transfer to Your Hotel

Welcome to Uganda, the Pearl of Africa! Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional safari guide who will brief you about your upcoming adventure. After completing airport formalities, you will be transferred to your hotel in Entebbe for relaxation after your journey.

Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore some attractions around Entebbe, including the beautiful shores of Lake Victoria, Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, or the Entebbe Botanical Gardens.

Your guide will ensure that you have everything you need before starting your safari adventure the following day. Relax and enjoy your first night in Uganda as you prepare for an exciting journey through the country’s incredible wildlife destinations.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Top of the Falls Visit

After breakfast, you will begin your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and most famous national park. The drive takes you through beautiful countryside landscapes, local villages, and farmlands, giving you a glimpse into daily life in Uganda.

En route, you will visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can track wild white rhinos. During the guided walking experience, you will get close to these magnificent animals while learning about conservation efforts aimed at restoring rhino populations in Uganda.

Continue your journey to Murchison Falls National Park and visit the famous Top of the Falls viewpoint. Here, you will witness the powerful Nile River forcing its way through a narrow gorge before plunging down the rocks. The breathtaking views and sounds of the falls create one of Uganda’s most memorable experiences.

Later, proceed to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Boat Cruise on the Victoria Nile

Start your day with an early morning game drive through Murchison Falls National Park. The morning hours provide the best opportunity to see wildlife as animals are active before the heat of the day. Your experienced guide will help you search for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, lions, leopards, and many bird species.

The park is home to over 70 mammal species and offers some of the best wildlife viewing experiences in Uganda. The open savannah landscapes provide excellent opportunities for photography and unforgettable safari moments.

In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the Victoria Nile towards the base of Murchison Falls. During the cruise, you will see hippos cooling in the water, crocodiles resting along the riverbanks, and numerous birds including kingfishers and African fish eagles.

The boat ride offers a unique perspective of the park and brings you close to the powerful waterfalls.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park – Home of Chimpanzees

After breakfast, you will depart Murchison Falls and travel south towards Kibale Forest National Park. The journey takes you through Uganda’s beautiful countryside, passing local communities, tea plantations, and scenic landscapes.

Kibale Forest is known as the “Primate Capital of the World” because it has one of the highest concentrations of primates in Africa. The forest is home to over 1,500 chimpanzees, making it one of the best places in the world for chimpanzee trekking.

As you approach Kibale, you will enjoy views of rolling hills, lush vegetation, and rural villages. Upon arrival at your lodge, you will have time to relax and prepare for your exciting chimpanzee trekking adventure the following day.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early breakfast, you will head to Kibale Forest National Park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your chimpanzee trekking adventure. Guided by experienced park rangers, you will enter the beautiful rainforest in search of our closest relatives.

The trek takes you through ancient forest trails surrounded by tall trees, colorful birds, and other primates such as red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and olive baboons. Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will spend time observing their behavior, taking photos, and learning about their social lives.

After the trek, you will continue your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive offers beautiful views of the Rwenzori Mountains and the surrounding landscapes.

Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge and relax while enjoying the peaceful surroundings of this famous wildlife destination.

After breakfast, you will depart for the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions. During your game drive, you will explore the open savannah plains while searching for these unique lions resting on large fig trees.

Besides tree-climbing lions, Ishasha is home to elephants, buffaloes, topis, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and many bird species. The area offers excellent photography opportunities with its beautiful scenery and wildlife.

Later, continue your journey towards Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home to almost half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. The drive takes you through the scenic highlands of southwestern Uganda, known for rolling hills, local communities, and stunning landscapes.

Day 7: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest and Batwa Cultural Experience

Today is the highlight of your Uganda safari — mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. After breakfast, you will proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing from Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will then begin your trek through the ancient rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family.

The trek can take a few hours depending on the location of the gorillas. Once you find them, you will spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants as they feed, play, and interact in their natural habitat. This unforgettable encounter provides incredible memories and supports mountain gorilla conservation.

After your gorilla experience, return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, enjoy a cultural visit to the Batwa community. You will learn about the traditional lifestyle, history, music, and customs of the indigenous forest people who once lived in Bwindi Forest.

The scenic drive takes you through the beautiful countryside of southwestern Uganda before crossing into Rwanda. Along the way, you will enjoy views of rolling hills, local communities, and the stunning landscapes of the region.

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, your guide will assist you with airport arrangements before your departure.
