Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Following an introductory briefing, you will embark on a scenic drive to Lake Mburo National Park, a journey of approximately four hours. Along the way, enjoy several stopovers, including a memorable visit to the Equator line where you can take striking photos and learn about this unique geographical landmark.

Upon reaching Lake Mburo National Park, check in at Mpogo Safari Lodge, a comfortable mid-range lodge nestled within the park’s serene surroundings. After settling in, venture out for an evening game drive. This introductory safari offers a glimpse of the park’s diverse wildlife, including impalas, zebras, and topis. As the sun sets, return to the lodge for a delicious dinner and restful overnight stay.

Day 2: Boat Cruise and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

This boat trip provides an excellent opportunity to observe a variety of aquatic wildlife, including crocodiles, hippopotamuses, and African fish eagles. The lake’s rich birdlife and picturesque scenery make for a memorable experience.

After the cruise, continue your journey south to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s second-largest conservation area. The drive takes approximately five hours. On arrival, check in at Twin Lakes Safari Lodge, where you can relax and prepare for the following day’s adventures. Enjoy a hearty dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Trip in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Begin your day with an early breakfast, then set out for an exhilarating game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. This drive offers the chance to encounter Africa’s Big Four: lions, leopards, elephants, and buffaloes. Keep an eye out for other wildlife such as jackals, hartebeests, and hyenas.

Return to the lodge for lunch before heading out on a boat trip along the Kazinga Channel. This waterway boasts one of the highest concentrations of hippopotamuses in Uganda and is home to various other wildlife, including buffaloes and crocodiles. Enjoy the stunning views and diverse birdlife, including flamingos and storks.

After the boat trip, return to Twin Lakes Safari Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for Gorilla Trekking 

Following breakfast, your guide will drive you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. This transfer takes about 3-4 hours, offering a scenic journey through Uganda’s varied landscapes, from savannahs to lush, mountainous terrain.

Upon arrival in Bwindi, check in at Gorilla Mist Camp, a comfortable lodge situated on the park’s edge. In the afternoon, embark on a community tour to explore the rich culture and traditions of the Batwa people, who were the original inhabitants of the forest. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Spend an hour observing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat, learning about their behavior and conservation efforts.

Following the trek, your guide will transfer you to Lake Bunyonyi, a picturesque destination known for its scenic beauty. Upon arrival, check in at Bunyonyi Safaris Resort and enjoy the evening at leisure, taking in the stunning lake views. Dinner and overnight accommodation are provided at the lodge.

If time permits, you can take a short nature walk or try zip-lining over Lake Bunyonyi before departing.

Upon arrival in Entebbe, your guide will drop you off at the international airport for your departure. If your flight is later in the evening or the following day, additional accommodation can be arranged upon request.
