DAY 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

4 Day Uganda Gorilla Trekking and Wildlife Safari Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

On your arrival at Entebbe International airport, you will meet up with our experienced driver guide from Giant Holiday Safaris. You will be welcomed and transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National park. You will stop en route at the equator through Kayabwe to take photos and then continue to Mbarara for lunch. After lunch, you will proceed with the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

DAY 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early morning breakfast, you will be driven from your hotel to the park headquarters for registration and briefing about the gorilla trekking adventure. You will be divided into different gorilla trekking groups and then assigned a gorilla family to trek. Rangers will then lead you to the forest to start your trek for mountain gorillas, upon finding these rare species you will have a chance to take photographs and also interact with them for one full hour, after a successful completion of tracking you will be awarded a certificate.

After tracking you will now drive to Lake Bunyonyi which is regarded as the deepest lake in Uganda for a canoe ride to explore the many Islands in the lake, then retire to your Lodge for Dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Mburo national Park to enjoy a boat cruise which will give you an opportunity to spot hippos, crocodiles and various bird species such as eagles and herons. After the boat cruise, you will retire to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: Transfer to Entebbe

After your breakfast, you will embark on a morning game drive in Lake Mburo national park to search for early bird wildlife. Some of the animals you will get a chance to see include zebra, buffalo, impala and wildebeest. After the morning game drive you will be driven back to Entebbe International Airport for your departure, you will have a stopover at the Equator crossing in Kayabwe for photographs and lunch en-route.
