Uganda and Rwanda have the same rules and regulations that were put in place concerning gorilla trekking to protect gorillas that were about to go extinct. They include the following;
Eating, drinking and smoking around gorillas is not allowed.

Using air transport, there are charter flights from Entebbe International Airport and Kajjansi Airstrip to Kihihi or Kisoro Airstrip. flights are supposed to be booked in advance to avoid disappointments.
In Rwanda, Volcanoes National Park is 2 to3 hours from Kigali International Airport which is the main entrance into the country. From here, A safari vehicle with a tour guide will drive you to the park for your gorilla trekking safari.
